Last year a few of us made the crazy decision to take on a brutal 100 mile off-road challenge - taking in the entire length of the South Downs Way - in a day! Starting in Winchester at 4am, following the South Downs and (hopefully) finishing in Eastbourne sometime before the day ends. With over 4000 metres of elevation along the route, over circa' 14 hours in the saddle, and in what could be the hottest summer since '76, I'll admit to being a little daunted! Almost a year of training has taken place, and a lot of sweet talking our wives. The cause is very close to my heart this year, and anything you can give will go a long way to helping us find a way to eradicate this disease - and also to keep me going!! Thanks. Richard
