Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. I'm currently going through treatment for Breast Cancer and I'm taking part in this Race with my amazing friends to thank our wonderful National Health Service (Southmead team and BRI team), Macmillan, Look Good Feel Good charity and Penny Brohn charity who have been so supportive and given me the best care over the past 9 months. Whilst I will still be undergoing treatment until next March with further surgery scheduled, I had my final chemotherapy treatment today and in 3 days I will walk, crawl or dance the 5 km around the Downs (admittedly on some pretty strong drugs.....but whatever it takes). So thank you for your donations and thank you to my great friends and daughter Sidonie who will be there to give me a piggy back when I need one!! Also the biggest thank you to my amazing husband Brian who has been with me every step of the way, every appointment and putting up with me on my down days. Brian you are my rock and a complete superstar!!
