Lena's Super Squad

Story

'Lena's Super Squad' are a team of family and friends taking part in a 5K Race for Life event at Kempton Racecourse on 1st July 2017. We are standing up to cancer for those that are living and fighting with it right now and in memory of those who did. Our superstar Lena is standing up to cancer with beauty, dignity, confidence and belief. She is nearly half the way through treatment and refusing to be defined by it. Using laughter, humour, focus and positivity to continue being a super mum, supportive wife, caring daughter, fab aunt, wonderful sister and loyal friend. Making sure everyone is ok, lifting us when we may be struggling and keeping us involved. It is an absolute privilege and honour to be part of her journey and humbled by her grace, strength, resilience and focus to 'Let's Do This'!! So we are!! Cancer is happening right now, which is why we are part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
