Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why we're taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. Cancer touches everyone's lives in one way or another and we have decided to do our bit by getting involved in this year's 10k Race for Life. As you'll probably know we are both incredibly unfit so this will be a pretty big challenge for the both of us. We promise to make it across the finish line together even if we have to crawl because our dodgy hips have given out! 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. £5 can kit out a ground-breaking research lab with the essential chemicals it needs - the bread and butter of day-to-day experiments. £25 can fund a cancer nurse for 1 hour. Cancer Research nurses are on hand to offer confidential support and guidance to people affect by cancer. £50 can buy an important scientific sieve. These separate out big bits and small bits of DNA to reveal vital clues about beating cancer. Every penny counts - so we'll be really grateful for any amount you can give - we promise to keep you updated with our training which will be an uphill battle considering the last time we both ran was probably in year 11 PE!
