Story
In October 2019, my amazing mom got the dreaded diagnosis of breast cancer. She was lucky enough to catch it in the early stages but still had to endure and brave two operations to remove the cancerous tissue. On the 17th May 2020 me and my brother will be running the 10k race for life to raise money for Breast Cancer. The support my mom has received throughout her journey has been incredible and I want to give something back to say thank you. From the doctors, to the breast care specialists to healthcare staff the treatment has been truely amazing. Also, I want to raise awareness for Breast cancer because now 1 in 2 people have the diagnosis of cancer and 1 in 7 get the diagnosis of breast cancer. Ladies - please have your mammograms and if you think something is wrong please get it checked out. As my mom says, it is what it is and it's just another chapter of the story....
