Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. After being diagnosed in august with stage two breast cancer at 35 and being a single mum to 3 children I was absolutely petrified, the thought of treatment and mostly leaving them without a mum broke my heart! 6 sessions of chemo later, surgery and 3 weeks of radio coming up I’m cancer free! I cannot thank all the dedication from the nhs team enough! From the receptionist to the blood team the oncology team the whole lot! I have met some amazing people on the way, the staff and fellow cancer fighters and if I can give anything back to help were game! So myself, my son Brandon who is 14 and my twins Lola and Riley 13 will be taking part in the muddy run, mainly to celebrate my recovery and mainly to give them some fun after all they deserve it after a rough year! Also the point of educating them on the importance of what we are doing it for and the help it could give others as we know first hand how awful this journey can be! Also we’re doing it to celebrate my mum who unfortunately has been through the same in the past and beat it too so we will raising a toast to you too mum/ mamma ( well if I can stand at the end!) So please any donation would be amazing!! Even £1 would make my children so happy! Thank you x
