Story
We are walking Race for Life this year in memory of my dad- who is now an angel papa to little Mason Henry who was born in February 2020 just before the lockdown. We want to raise money so that no other little ones need to be brought up with an angel relative. We want to keep papa Henry’s memory alive. My dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer (melanoma) in April 2011 after having 2 surgeries on his left leg- one to remove a cancerous mole then another later to remove cancerous lymph nodes. In early 2011 when he found a lump on his right leg it became clear the cancer had spread. After putting up a heroic fight this horrible disease took my dad away from us on 29th November 2011 at the age of 48. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work.
