Story
We are doing this run in memory of our much loved Mum and Nan, who was tragically taken from us 5 months ago. A born fighter, my mother-in-law struggled not only once but twice to fight this awful disease - from the day she was first diagnosed, she decided she was a survivor not a victim ... her attitude determined her days. Her amazing strength got her through the toughest of times and her good days were about building wonderful memories with her family. She is truly missed by all her friends and family and will never ever be forgotten - her legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Cancer affects billions of people all over the world, young and old ... we all know someone who have lost their battle, I alone know too many. In addition to finding a cure for cancer, a lot of research is focused on preventing the lifelong damages that result from surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, especially for the young. We need to hold on to the hopes, dreams, and determination and gather strength from our support systems - because in the fight against cancer, we cannot give up. Please help us raise as much money as we can in memory of our wonderful Mum/Nan and to support this wonderful charity - Lets help many other people fighting to beat Cancer.
