Story
Our school community has been directly affected by cancer in recent weeks with the passing of our colleague Cecelia Prescod. Cecelia bravely battled cancer over the last couple of years and yet still offered so much support and guidance to many staff through their own periods of crisis or ill health. She worked in our school since 2003 and we hope she knew how much she meant to everyone in our school community. We race in her memory. We race to raise vital funds for cancer research and we race to inspire our pupils to be proactive in the face of adversity. We will race together, supporting each other, 'one step at a time'. We will do this by coming together in a positive way to support each other when things get tough, whether that’s grief, worry or an inflatable muddy slide!! We would love you to support us and Cancer Research UK by donating any amount you can. Our young people are training hard and looking forward to the challenge! Any support you could give will show them that positive action in the face of adversity is one way we can cope with what life throws at us! #thisgirlcan #onestepatatime
