We're raising as much as we can to beat cancer

Story

The Les Lavender Cancer Crusade was set up by my dad, Les, in 2005 after losing his wife — my mum, Jean — following a short battle with cancer (much-loved nanny and grancha to Kayleigh and Bradley). After her death, Les was determined to help find a cure for this horrible disease. Sadly, in 2008, Les himself passed away after his own battle with cancer. Before he died, we promised to continue fundraising in his honour. In his final two years, Les worked tirelessly to raise money, organising multiple fundraising events including a 26-mile walk and a 24-hour pub Olympics. He had also signed up for a skydive but was sadly unable to do this as his health declined. We are taking part in the Pretty Muddy 5k not only for my mum and dad, but also for other family members — including father-in-law Andy and grandad John — and for the many friends and families who have been affected by cancer. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can give. Wendy, Kayleigh, Bradley, Brandon and Tim Any support, whether a donation or a share — truly means the world to us
