We’re running in loving memory of my father, Simon Incledion. We run to end the stigma that is Cancer.

Story

Like last year, I will be running the Cwmbran 5k with my partner Dylan in loving memory of my late father. My father passed away 3 years ago in December to a horrendous yet brave fight with Pancreatic cancer. This cancer tore my family apart and we have been robbed of so many years together. Being just 16 at the time, and my father only 47, I thought we’d have more time yet this cancer ruined any chances of recovery. No symptoms meant no early warnings and was terminal upon diagnosis. In memory of him we would like to raise some funds for Cancer Research UK who do an amazing job in finding new progressions in cancer treatments for those who are struggling now. We want to end the stigma of cancer as I am positive we all know someone who has suffered like we have. This ironic run lands on Father’s Day in my father’s home town so we really couldn’t have organised this any better. Please show your support not only for us but to all those who run and fundraise for this amazing cause. Thank you!
