Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. I'm running the Race for Life this year for my mum Debbie. A routine mammogram that needed further inspection led to a diagnosis of breast cancer. Operated on, lump removed and now awaiting treatment to maintain and kill any lingering cells is next on the agenda. As her son and as her family hearing someone you love say they've got "The Big C" was one of the worst days we've ever experienced and is something I wouldn't wish upon anyone else. Unfortunately cancer is common, widespread, and doesn't discriminate. It can happen to anyone. I want to do my bit to help raise awareness & funds to help others like my mother, but also to help those families that are also a part of this. Every little helps and just a share or your support would be a massive boost. Thank you for reading.
