Story

The Blankney Trotters are a group of friends who usually get around the countryside on horseback - now switching to our own 2 legs raising money for all those we know affected by cancer. With recent news that a dear friend is now facing her own battle with cancer we have a team of unlikely runners (including her husband & daughter!) having a go at this race for life. Our team members ages range from 10-58 years old - we’ve all done a bit of running in the past - some many many many years ago but this challenge is bringing us all together to push us out of our comfort zone - get those trainers on and get fitter to help raise as much money as we can for this amazing cause that affects so many people. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work.
