Story
Cancer touches most families and is a scary world for everybody…especially children. They daren’t ask questions, don’t understand and watch their family being effected around them. A very special and treasured family member is currently battling glioblastoma. Jorgie-Lea, our eldest girl who is nine - is aware but does not fully understand. Whilst watching tv recently, a Cancer Research advert came on and she coyly asked if she could help, by running the Race for Life and raising some money for the charity. We are running this as a family to support Jorgie-Lea and make it fun for her. Mummy, daddy and her little sister Rosa, will all run with Jorgie-Lea and all try to raise money for this amazing charity. Jorgie-Lea is incredibly sensitive and thoughtful. So I hope that this helps makes Jorgie-Lea feel helpful, useful and proud at such a confusing time.
