Taking part in the race for life is not only in memory of a dearly loved, missed mum, nan and wife but to join together and be thankful for all that she did for us but also for what she did for others. My mum had a short battle with cancer and was diagnosed with stage four cancer in October 2018 and sadly passed away on 23rd of May 2019 surrounded by her loved ones. This year has been tough on everyone and it’s heartbreaking that people are not getting the treatment they need to fight this disease and so many more people are dying or the treatment being prolonged. So this year on Saturday 24/4/2021 me my sister Paula and our children our taking part in the 5k run, jog or walk race for life hoping to raise money to help those in need at the moment and hoping to find a cure. All donations are truly apparently. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work.
