Story
On 2nd January 2020, we sadly lost our beautiful Maggie at the young age of 60. She was extremely courageous in dealing with her terminal diagnosis, it didn’t become a battle, there was never a negative word from her. Maggie continued smiling, carried on with her work as a teacher, maintained her many many friendships which she had knitted together like parts of a patchwork blanket. Most importantly she found great comfort in ensuring that her two beloved boys were ok in their future ahead. An amazing lady, one in a million. So now, we are knitting together the patchwork friendships that Maggie made and making a huge comforting blanket to help support us all through our loss. Please help us to raise as much as possible in memory of Maggie and to “kick cancers ass” as I (karen) would say to her, and we would chuckle together. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work.
