Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why we’re taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. Abi was diagnosed in October 2016 with a diffuse astrocytoma, and bravely battled this horrible and vicious disease with guts and determination - throughout 2 courses of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Everyone that saw her and met her always said that they couldn’t believe that she had an incurable disease - such was her zest and love of life. Heartbreakingly, in October 2018, another tumour was discovered and darling Abi passed away on the 6th of January this year - a day before her 41st birthday. Abi was a loving and adoring wife, step-mum, daughter, sister, auntie and such an important part of her two families. She loved and lived life to the full, and despite her condition, always managed a smile and a kind word for those who saw her - so it is in her memory that we are running this Race For Life, and hope that you can dig deep, in order that we can assist Cancer Research UK to finally find a cure for all types of cancer, and stop this happening to many more people who are so dearly loved ❤️❤️❤️
