Story
(Jill's Story) We all have our own reasons why we are doing this walk... I have lost aunts and uncles I loved dearly to the cruel disease. However the reason I decided to do the full marathon this year was when I found out that one of my friends, a 40 year old mother of 2 was diagnosed with Breast Cancer last year...she was an absolute legend, chemo in her lunch break and just powered on through... I couldn't believe it was happening again as one of my very best friends had been diagnosed with Breast Cancer the year before... we laughed our way through it and she taught me to be able to say "cancer" out loud and not under my breath like it was Voldemort! A few years previous to that, another friend, with a smile which could light up a room was diagnosed shortly after having her first child.. she put on her glittery trainers and kicked its butt...so I am actually doing it for those 3 young(ish) women who fought and won in the hope that soon everyone will fight and win....
