Story
Heather's story: I will be taking part in the race for life September 2017 to raise as much money and support as I can so we can take one step closer to beating cancer. I will be running for my Mum, who fought a long hard battle with brain cancer (Anaplastic Oligodendroglioma - Grade 3), until she passed away a month after my 9th birthday in 2008. It will be 9 years this year, and I want to show her my appreciation for everything she did for me, my family and everyone who knew her and make her proud. You were and will forever be my biggest inspiration, I love you Mum xXx Bethany's story: I am doing this Race For Life in memory of my Godmother who past away November last year from lung cancer. She was suffering from this for just over a year and deteriorated pretty quick, it was a hard time for us all who loved and cared for her. She was kind, caring and I was thankful that she was my Godmother and to have known her. She was an incredible lady. I would like to raise as much money as I can to help get more research done on all the different types of cancer. We are running in hope that people wont feel alone in this, to show that there is a lot of support out there for you, your family and friends. We are running so that all their bravery and suffering wasn't for nothing, so that one day we will have the cure and beat cancer!
