Story
If you choose to donate and know both of us, please select the one of us with fewer donations at that time. Harry: My dad was diagnosed with prostate and bladder cancers in June 2016 and for me, the news was shocking. He lived a healthy lifestyle and enjoyed regular running which made me realise that anyone can be effected at anytime by the disease. Luckily he has made a full recovery but I will never forget how I felt when I heard the news and I can empathise with anybody hearing similar news from relatives and friends. I am running tough mudder as I have been inspired by my dad to run and I would love to help support a charity which has helped my family. Charlie: I found out my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2017, just when I had started University. She is still undergoing treatment but has responded well and is on the mend. I enjoy raising money for charity, and I knew when my mum had said she was ill that I would look to raise some money in aid of her cause. Getting this news created a feeling of shock and uncertainty for my mum, myself and all the family and friends. I wouldn't want this feeling upon anyone else, so by raising money for cancer research we are doing our bit to fight this horrible disease. Charlie and Harry: Cancer Research has made a large impact on the welfare of people being diagnosed with cancer. Charlie's mum has received a new drug as part of her treatment and Harry's dad was able to research treatment options. We would like to raise money for cancer research so we can help other people get better, the way both Lisa and Chris have.
