Story
Following completion of the C25K I wondered how I could put my new found running skill to a good cause. It's been a few years since I completed Race For Life and it seems appropriate to now return in these challenging circumstances. My late dad Roy will always be in my heart for this race, especially in what would have been his 70th Birthday year. However having recently lost a fabulous member of our extended family, affectionately known as "Mad Marlene", it is in her name that we complete this challenge. Marlene was always the life and soul of every party and her funeral is due to coincide with Race For Life at home so it is with great honour that myself and my kids are completing this challenge on 24/4/21. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. So please dig deep to support this good cause and help celebrate the life of an amazing woman who fought right to the end x x
