Story

Gina and Kieran are both walking the 3K race for life this year in honour of Gina’s grandmother beating breast cancer! Her grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer over 17 years ago, thankfully it was caught early and after a successful operation, her grandmother made a full recovery. This is not just any walk for Gina, as this will be her first long distance walk since falling ill in late 2021 and starting recovery in mid 2023. Gina was unable to walk comfortably without aids for 18 months, and after a long journey of learning to walk again, she, along with the support of her partner Kieran, is very excited to celebrate this with taking part in this event along with raising money for an amazing charity!
