Story
1 in 2 people get cancer. That's a scary statistic. We know many people who have been affected by cancer but last year, the worst happened for our family. Cancer stole a good one. A man who had time for anyone, a man who was our cheerleader, our confidant. A man who never had a bad word to say about anyone. Our gramps. This year he would have turned 80- not that you would have known it. At the age of 78, he was knocking down walls and painting rooms. He was our hero. After a year where vital cancer trials have been delayed, the Race for Life is more important than ever. We want to raise money to help people be spared from the pain of losing someone like we did. That's why we will be taking part in the Race for Life at Home. Every pound you can donate will go towards Cancer Research UK’s ground-breaking work, so please sponsor us today!
