Story
Cancer is a horrible world which we are all too familiar with, unfortunately everyone has been effected some way or another. We know people are so generous & always doing a lot of fundraising however this is the 1st time me & my sister have done anything like this so those that know us this is an achievement in itself! Our uncle would hate us for naming & doing this, even when he was sick he would always think how lucky he is & talk about the poor young people battling cancer that he had seen that day (someone else was always worse off). We have so many memories but we will never forget coming out of the church after our Grandads funeral to my uncle outside with my auntie as he just wanted to be there for us, despite being for chemo that day. Gordon was a man of few words, he liked to make out he was a grump but everyone who knew him knew he had the biggest heart & would do anything for anyone. We want to do this as it's ironic but the day he passed away, the race was taking place & it's about time we tried to give back for the care he received. Every little helps & if any friends/ family could sponsor us this will be greatly appreciated. Let's aim for a cure, so much is being done all the time through research but we need to keep this going as it effects so many.
