Story
On Saturday 23rd September, Keeran, Michaela and myself (Kim) will be taking part in Tough Mudder. The course is brutal, with a whole manner of electrocuting, muddy and rather challenging/awful obstacles. (20 to be precise) Other than being completely barmy – the reasons behind our attempting this course, is to help raise money for Cancer Research. In females, there were around 76,900 cancer deaths in the UK in 2014. Every four minutes someone in the UK dies from cancer. Lung, bowel, breast and prostate cancers together accounted for almost half (46%) of all cancer deaths in the UK in 2014. More than a fifth of all cancer deaths are from lung cancer. In November 2016 my mother lost her fight with Bone Cancer – so in her memory, we are hoping to raise vital funds to support cancer research.
