Amaya and Ralph will be competing for the Flamingo Girls and this time will be taking part in the Pretty Muddy Kids 5k! 😀 well done guys for taking on the challenge ….. Good Luck ************************************************ 2021 The pandemic is still at large!... so this year is Race for Life at home! 🦠 we need a reason to get out, exercise and look forward! What better reason than this!! Let’s join together online and support each other wherever we might be taking part 🏃♂️ ************************************************ 2020-THIS EVENT WAS CANCELLED DUE TO COVID 19 😷 The Flamingo girls also welcome the next generation to the flock SHYLA (will be 5) will compete for her 2nd year, MYA & APRIL (both 8) will also join this year, competing in their home town!........ More the merrier..... working together to raise funds and awareness of a great cause! Another year and another challenge..... one of the Flamingo girls-Mo challenged herself to run the 10k and is currently in training to complete her personal goal! ************************************************ 2019 Time for the Flamingo Girls to take off again!! Bigger and better this year to celebrate another year clear and support those continuing to fight 👊🏻💪🏻 ************************************************ 2015 Now in 2015 one of the original Flamingo girls is fighting her own battle with cancer! And so we come together to take part once again! We are very pleased to announce that this year the flock has grown! 😍And we are joined by new fledglings!! each one of us run for our own personal reasons ************************************************ Historical................... Why Flamingo Girls??? In 2013 a small group entered the Race For Life to celebrate a close friend overcoming cancer! We looked for a theme around pink?! One of the team-Aimee made the suggestion that her late Nans favourite animal was a Flamingo-this then became the teams theme!! People loved the idea and 'look' so much that the team made the front pages :) Please support us by donating to the team ☺️
