Cancer is all too common. Among our team are too many people that have supported loved ones as they fought cancer. Some of those loved ones have recovered. Others, sadly, have left us. We are raising money in honour of them all. As a whole, the First Copy and FCC Innovation team wanted to give something back, and decided that this autumn, the whole of the company would come together to walk the Shine Night Walk and raise money to beat cancer. We hope to help members of our families, our friends, our colleagues, our customers and the wider community beat cancer quicker, find out about it sooner, or even prevent it in the first place. We have chosen to walk for ‘all cancer types’ because we know (and have known) friends and family – both children and adults in some cases - suffering from brain tumours, lung cancer, bowel cancer, prostate cancer, leukaemia and more. It is a sobering thought than one in every two of us will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in our lives. Survival rates have doubled in the last 40 years, but Cancer Research UK is pushing on to improve survival rates much further. All the money we raise will make a difference, so please help us in our mission to make as much money as possible for this vital research. Thank you.
