When one of my work colleagues' husband got diagnosed with oesophageal cancer towards the end of last year we as a team felt helpless. Out of the desire to offer support in whatever small way the team could, Tony"s Girls was born. Luke, Abby and I will join Tony's Girls on 12th May as Tony's Gang. I have to admit that when I signed up I had pretty much no intention of running any of the course. I also thought Tony would be there to watch us. Sadly we will now be taking part in Tony's memory. Spurred on by this and the loss of others in the past 12 months (though not cancer related) I am officially in training 😖. Thank goodness for Couch to 5k. Anything that raises money to help prevent untimely loss of life is worth doing. Especially if it makes this mum get a little bit fitter.
