Story
Most of you know that in 2016, Mum was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, metastasised to the bones. Over the last 2 and a half years she has had access to some of the best healthcare, various types of chemo and radiotherapy, and an experimental course of immunotherapy, not yet available on the NHS. This drug might be the reason she’s alive. One day it will available to everyone who has cancer, regardless of their privilege. But we want that day to be sooner rather than later, which is why we’re supporting cancer research to make these breakthroughs. Putting ourselves through an inch of the pain she has suffered by trying to run 13 miles feels like the least we can do. Thank you so much for your support! And if you fancy it, come and cheer us on.
