Story
We are a happy bunch of scientists from The University of Edinburgh and our goal is to raise money for life saving research. From working on fundamental research aimed at understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer progression to investigating potential treatments for glioblastoma brain tumours, we see on a daily basis how essential research funding is. It wouldn’t be possible to develop new ideas or support ongoing investigations without financial backing. We are incredibly proud to be a part of the scientific community, and we would like to raise money for CRUK as a thank you for the incredible work that has already been done and in support of future work, which is so vital for beating cancer. We realise that for most people 10K may not seem a very impressive distance, but believe us it is a big deal (and if you’ve seen John you will agree). The only exercise we’ve been doing so far is running around the lab trying to finish work before bed time so we can start it all over the next day!
