We are a group of Durham students looking to raise money for Cancer Research UK by completing a 5km Race for Life mud run. My (Jacob) mum passed away 15 years ago to breast cancer, and since then my family have raised money for Cancer Research UK from a variety of things, from completing runs and long walking challenges to selling knitwear and jams. This charity means a lot to me and along with my friends, it would be nice to contribute further to my families efforts. Cancer is happening right now, which is why we are taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
