Story
1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. As a scientist working in cancer research, I know the magnitude of this issue, but one year ago I never thought that it would be me. CRUK helped me launch my scientific career through a Career Establishment Award. Every year my lab has supported CRUK in their annual Pretty Muddy Race For Life. This year it holds a special meaning for me. I’m raising funds to raise awareness for breast cancer and to support life saving research. It is only through early detection that I am here to tell my story. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work.
