Story
Two and a half years ago my Great Grannie died only 22 days after being told she had very advanced pancreatic cancer. The morning after she died I promised that I would do the Shine Marathon for her. She was so proud of my Mum when she did it for my Great Grandad and I wanted to do the same. At long last I am finally old enough to take on this tough challenge! I am hoping the money I raise will help raise awareness of this silent killer and help find a cure so no one has to suffer the agonising and traumatic pain that my Great Grannie had to go through. I said goodbye to my Grannie a week before she died and she was too weak to even talk to me properly. Seeing my Mum, Nannie and everyone else so heartbroken is something I don’t want anyone else to have to go through. So together with my Mum as my wingman I am going to walk into the night and do my very best to keep my promise to my Grannie and to make a difference. If you are in a position to donate even a pound I would be so grateful for your support. Thank you so much for reading my story. Libby xxx
