Story
This is in honour and memory of Jen, one of life’s treasures who made an impact on everybody she met for being so fun, lively, bubbly, warm natured, and kind. A true friend, one in a million, and we are all so blessed to have so many memories of times spent with Jen. When Jenny had her first diagnosis in February 2015, she said how she wanted to do everything she could to help improve cancer detection and treatment, to stop other women going through what she was going through. Despite going through treatment herself, Jenny, Helen, and myself did the Redditch Race for Life in June 2015. Jen wrote on her Just Giving page at the time how she wanted to “give this cloud a silver lining” and try and create something good and positive from what she was going through. Between us (but mostly thanks to Jen!), we raised a whopping £2,500! Jenny continued to be this inspirational person when she had her second diagnosis last May; showing such courage and strength. I want us to honour this and create something amazing. I have therefore pledged a group fundraising total of £2,500.00 for Dellie’s Diva’s – an ambitious final fundraising total, but we did it 3 years ago and we can do it again! Jenny gave so much kindness and love to each of us; we can focus on this and remember it as we go around together, an army of Dellie’s Diva’s. I know it’s going to be a difficult day for us all, but Jen will be with us, in our hearts, as she is each and every day. Let’s support a fantastic charity that touches many people’s lives.
