Story

Our team – Courtney, Sam, Hayley, Emi, Tabby and Irene – are taking part in Race for Life because cancer is something that has touched every one of our lives. Like so many families, we have experienced the heartbreak of losing loved ones to this cruel disease. The pain of those losses never truly goes away, and we carry their memories with us every day. They are a huge part of the reason we are taking on this challenge. Cancer has also affected our team in a more personal way. Two of our team members are cancer survivors themselves. They have faced the fear, uncertainty and challenges that cancer brings, and their strength and determination inspire us all. Seeing first-hand the difference that research, treatment and support can make reminds us why events like Race for Life are so important. We are running, walking and fundraising in memory of those we have lost, in celebration of those who have survived, and in hope for a future where fewer families have to experience the devastation that cancer causes. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help fund life-saving research, improve treatments and support people facing cancer today.
