Story
10 years ago on 22nd May 2009, things went a bit shit when I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer after a 4 month battle to get a diagnosis. Cancer in itself was not a battle for me. I did what I was told by an amazing surgeon in Taunton and oncologist in Bristol and got rid of it pretty quickly, with the love and support of my amazing family. Since then I have watched too many people close to me fall victim to the evil disease. After my diagnosis, my Mum and 2 lovely sisters ran the Race for Life, whilst I watched on with my droopy nerve-damaged eye and cricked-neck. They raised more than £1,000 for Cancer Research. So Mum had the idea, that 10 years on, we should do it again, this time me included! Please donate whatever you can - every £1 adds up.
