28th May 2021 gave us one of the biggest shocks of our lives when Mandy (Mum) was diagnosed with Breast Cancer following a routine Mammogram. Mandy tackled her diagnosis head on, being brave and inspirational throughout treatment and recovery. The early detection from the routine Mammogram meant we had the best of the worst somehow in our favour. By 16th November 2021 Mandy was Cancer FREE. The support we all received from the NHS, Nurses at High Wycombe & The John Radcliffe hospitals, friends and family has been incredible! Cancer is happening right now, and without the early detection Mandy's story could have been so different. Which is why we are taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. We will be tackling the Windsor Pretty Muddy 5K on Saturday 28th May 2022 (exactly 1 year since diagnosis!) Mandy, Jock, Maria, Louise, Hayley, George, Callum & Jasmine and we would love your support. Be it via donating to our fundraising page, encouraging us to train and prepare, or laughing with us whilst we stumble over the obstacles (photos of Jock/Dad on the space hoppers will be shared). 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
