Recently my step-dad has undergone scans and tests as a tumour has been found on his lung. At present we do not know if it is cancer but the thought of it is scary enough. Fingers crossed it turns out to be benign. The money raised can go towards research into treatment which can help those who are diagnosed. Update - Unfortunately it has been diagnosed as cancer and we are now waiting for further tests to determine what stage it is at and what treatment is needed. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
