I’ve spent the last year fighting breast cancer, a road that involved two surgeries, a 6 sessions of chemotherapy, 15 radiotherapy sessions, 18 immunotherapy treatments and five years of hormone therapy. It’s a tough road but I’ve been lucky so far. Lots of people aren’t so fortunate. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime and many of them won’t make it. Research can help to find kinder treatments to beat cancer and maybe one day even a cure. My kids are also taking part which is a huge challenge for them- 5k is a long way on little legs!
