Story
On the 8th July we are taking part in the race for life with a group of friends. Some of us are colleagues and others were bought together in sad circumstances at the funeral of a friend, a serving police officer, Constable 8182 Mike Abram. He lost his battle with cancer very quickly. One of us is still being treated whilst another is supporting a terminally ill parent. Another has lost a grand parent and another is keeping fingers crossed that it won’t return for her mum. Our decision to take part is not about just raising money, it is about keeping this group of friends together so that we can make new memories and remember those less fortunate. We certainly won’t be breaking any records but we’ll have fun on the way round.
