Butterfields Community Care relaunched its palliative care service back in 2019, it was re contracted and commissioned by the NHS and started providing critical care and support to 13 end of life patients diagnosed with a verity of terminal cancers within the Somerset area. Due to the exceptional care and reputation, we have built over the past 18 months, it has allowed us to grow and develop so that we are now able to deliver care and support to over 50 end of life patients. Butterfields very proudly support not only our local community but also St Margaret’s hospice and Cancer research UK, which are two charities that are close to ours and our patients hearts. On the 15th August 2021, three of our care managers will be doing the “Pretty Muddy Run” race for life to raise money for Cancer research UK and we would love to get as many people as we can involved to raise as much money as we can for this fantastic charity.
