So one day, Sue and Valentina have a conversation on their coffee break, “Fancy doing race for life?” Says Valentina, “Why not!” says Sue, Next thing you know they have canvassed all their female colleagues and suddenly we have a team of THIRTEEN! Curing cancer is at the heart of our everyday lives, we are chemo nurses, therapeutic radiographers, breast care nurses, massage therapists, receptionists, managers, the list goes on!. We have all experienced first-hand how research has changed the face of cancer over the years, and the best bit, we see it advancing every day and we see our patients doing better and staying stronger for longer than ever before! We all work in different departments at the Bupa Cromwell Hospital in Kensington but come together as a team to provide care and support to our patients at different points in their journeys. On the 29th July we will be a slightly different team, supporting each other to make it around the 10K course! Some of us are regular runners, some of us are self confessed couch potatoes but together we can make it!
