Our mother and grandmother from South Africa was on an extended visit last summer. While here she became unwell and was subsequently diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. She returned to South Africa to begin her treatment. Now nearly a year after her diagnosis she has responded very well to treatment and is getting stronger everyday. My mother and I have decided to challenge ourselves and do the Race For Life 10k in the hopes of raising some money for Cancer Research so that more people like my grandmother can benefit from the amazing work that they do.
