Story
I was diagnosed with grade 3 invasive ductal breast cancer in June 2018 just after my 35th birthday. The rollercoaster then began. I had a 1 and 3 year old and my life was turned upside down. Tests, scans and genetic tests quickly followed and my treatment of 6 chemotherapy sessions once every 3 weeks started soon after. Feeling so unwell and losing my hair was devastating, I was a mum and my family was my priority so I had to just get on with it and own it! Mastectomy and breast reconstruction followed then 15 sessions of radiotherapy everyday and then 10 years of hormone treatment. Now I've come to the end of my active treatment I can't quite believe it's over. The hard bit now is trying to live my life to the fullest with the worry of my cancer coming back and that's where Cancer Research comes in. Without money and funds new treatments and developments in cancer care just won't happen so every penny counts. Please sponser my wonderful Boobie Buddies who've supported me throughout it and let's tell cancer to jog on! Sarah x
