Story
Roxy’s Story Roxy came to work for us a few years ago and came in as quiet shy girl, thanks to the team we all work with and the friendships within that group she has come out of her shell and shown what a strong person she is with a quick wit. The start of this year saw Roxy enter a new relationship, move into her first home with her Friend, gained new responsibility at work and start living her best life coming out of that shell even more and then in February Roxy found a lump in her breast, and was then diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of just 23, this not only came as a massive shock to Roxy herself but to everyone around her a lot of who are young woman who did not understand the importance of regularly checking their breasts. From the day she was diagnosed Roxy has taken it all in her stride finding that inner strength and using that quick wit of hers to lighten and diffuse those dark situations that come after a diagnosis like this. Since the diagnosis Roxy has had numerous appointments with doctors as well as undergoing a course of fertility treatment to freeze her eggs for the future, she has now undergone 2 courses of chemotherapy which she is handling like a true star with strength and dignity and all of us could not be any prouder of her. Through all of this she has found the time to still be there for her friends as well as raising awareness off breast cancer on her social media to help other young woman realise the importance of checking their breasts. We are all doing this walk/run to show our support to Roxy, we cannot fight this battle for her but we can help raise money to find a cure for this terrible disease while Roxy continues to be the warrior princess battling this disease.
