We have entered this Cancer Research sponsored event, together with our friend Claire and her daughter Nina. Although we regularly meet to exercise our dogs, we are abandoning the coastal and country footpaths of Cornwall to walk over 26 miles through the city streets, following the course of the London Marathon. Not only is the walk itself a huge challenge, we will also be stretching ourselves further by travelling to London on the train, participating in the event overnight in the dark, then travelling back to Cornwall again immediately afterwards - sleep deprived and exhausted! We are hoping to raise money to help fight cancer, which has touched all of our lives in different ways. Three of us have big birthdays this year, and we thought it would be a worthwhile way of marking the occasion. Please sponsor us if you are able to; every little helps!
