Story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page. On 10th August, Mark, Mike (Bruno), Dave (Lowe) and David (Price) are taking on four rounds of golf (72 holes) on one day to raise money for Cancer Research UK. We're going to be joined by another group including Andy and Ross who are as crazy as us doing this. We all want to help fund life-saving research by sponsoring us and together we can beat cancer sooner. Unfortunately we lost our best friend Chris Birch in December 2017 to cancer, he put up an amazing fight for 2 years and was an absolute inspiration to all of us during his battle - the least we can do is put ourselves through this in his memory. Chris enjoyed a bit of golf, he could hit a 7 iron better and further than any of us - but when it went wrong there was every chance the club would end up in the nearest pond lol...... We miss him a lot, not as much as his wife Jo, son Leo and all of his family and friends. We will never forget him and I am sure we will be shouting a few expletives his way during this day of torture - after all we are not professional golfers so expect to be walking around 16 miles during this challenge as we zig zag our way around Wigan Golf Club's superb course.
