As many of you know, not so long ago I lost my mum to the terrible, disgusting disease that is cancer. I, along with some of my besties have decided to take part in the pretty muddy to raise some money in mum's memory (and all those who have lost their fight and those who are still fighting). Mum took part in many of these events to support those who were close to her and now I'm following her lead and doing the same. Pretty Muddy seemed like the best choice - far more opportunities for falling and injury, both of which she would have found hilarious!!! She taught me to play the hand that you are dealt and somehow in a moment of madness, the girl who only ever runs for food or alcohol, has a 5K in her hand!! In the grand scheme of things this little race is insignificant, but it's doing something to help find a cure against this horrible disease. I would be so grateful if you could donate something in memory of mum and all those who have been affected by cancer in the hope that one day there will be a cure! This one is for you Mand!
