Story
We have had a really tough year as last September Gavin was diagnosed with a rare cancer in his nose. It absolutely crushed us and we feared the worst as we waited to see if it had spread.Thankfully it hadn't and Gavin underwent two gruelling operations and had to have his whole nose removed. It has taken a lot of getting used to having prosthetic noses made and the new way he looks but the doctors and surgeons have been amazing.we are just so grateful that we are some of the lucky ones and our little boy gets to have his daddy. Not everyone is as lucky as us though. We lost our beautiful neighbour ann to cancer in may and not a day goes by when we don't think about her. So we are running in memory of ann and in celebration of gavins recovery. Cancer not only affects you physically but also mentally, it's a long recovery but we'll get there! This is why we want to do all we can to raise as much money as we can and kick cancers butt so more people have the good outcome that we have!
