Story
On the 9th August, four of our cricket club are raising money for Cancer Research. 1,000 people a day are diagnosed with cancer in the UK, 1 in 2 people will have it in their lifetime and it affects people of all ages. We all know people who have had or been affected by cancer and it’s a very worthy cause to get behind. We have decided to do this challenge and raise money in particular due to the loss of our cricket coach Rod Reeves last year. Rod was a great character and we’re very lucky that he was a big part of our lives. As well as helping us with our cricketing ability he was influential in helping us become the people we are today. He offered jobs to younger members, was always generous, outright hilarious and most importantly a friend. Any donation big or small is important and would be greatly appreciated to this worthy cause Donating through these pages is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
